3-Day Magical Tanzania Expedition Safari Program

Day 1: Arusha → Lake Manyara National Park

Your safari begins with a morning departure from Arusha, driving through the scenic Great Rift Valley towards Lake Manyara National Park. This compact but richly diverse park features groundwater forests, acacia woodlands, hot springs, open floodplains, and the sparkling soda lake itself.

Wildlife Highlights:

• Possible sightings of the famous tree-climbing lions

• Large elephant families

• Baboons, blue monkeys, and playful vervet monkeys

• Hippos, buffaloes, zebras, and giraffes

• Flamingos and abundant birdlife along the lakeshore

Enjoy an afternoon game drive with a picnic lunch inside the park. Later, proceed to your lodge in the Manyara or Karatu region for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – Half-Day Game Drive

After breakfast, depart for the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations. This natural amphitheater is home to an exceptional density of wildlife.

Descend 600 meters into the crater for a half-day game drive on the crater floor.

What to Expect:

• One of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa

• Spotting opportunities for all the Big Five

• Africa’s best chance to see the endangered black rhino

• Breathtaking crater landscapes created by an ancient volcanic collapse

Enjoy a picnic lunch at the beautiful hippo poolside. Later in the afternoon, ascend out of the crater and head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park → Return to Arusha / Kilimanjaro Airport

Start early and drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its vast herds of elephants and majestic baobab trees. Enjoy a morning game drive across the park’s riverbanks, open plains, and acacia woodlands.

Wildlife You May See:

• Massive elephant herds

• Zebras, giraffes, wildebeests

• Lions, cheetahs, and leopards (occasionally spotted)

• More than 500 bird species, making it a birdwatcher’s paradise

After the game drive, enjoy lunch before beginning your journey back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport, marking the end of your unforgettable 3-day safari.
