Day 1: Arusha → Lake Manyara National Park

Depart from Arusha in the morning and drive through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park. The park is famous for its diverse ecosystem—lush groundwater forests, floodplains, and the shimmering soda lake.

Wildlife highlights:

• Tree-climbing lions (rare but possible)

• Elephants, baboons, blue monkeys

• Hippos, buffaloes, giraffes

• Flamingos and diverse birdlife along the lakeshore

Enjoy an afternoon game drive with a picnic lunch inside the park. Later in the evening, continue to your lodge in the Manyara or Karatu region for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – Half-Day Game Drive

After breakfast, drive to the iconic Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s greatest natural wonders. Descend 600 meters to the crater floor for a half-day game drive.

What to expect:

• Incredible density of wildlife

• The chance to see all Big Five

• Africa’s best place to spot the endangered black rhino

• Stunning landscapes formed by a collapsed volcanic caldera

Enjoy a picnic lunch at the hippo poolside. In the afternoon, ascend from the crater and head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park → Return to Arusha / Kilimanjaro Airport

Start your day early and travel to Tarangire National Park, known for its massive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Enjoy a morning game drive through the park’s woodlands, open plains, and along the Tarangire River.

Wildlife you may see:

• Elephants (large herds)

• Zebras, giraffes, wildebeests

• Lions, cheetahs, leopards (occasionally)

• Over 500 bird species

After the game drive, enjoy lunch before making your way back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport, concluding your safari.
