Arrival – Tanzania

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Optional pre-tour accommodation can be arranged at an additional cost.

Day 1: Arusha to Arusha National Park

Pick up from your hotel at 7:45 a.m. and drive for approximately 1 hour to Arusha National Park. Explore its diverse ecosystems including montane forest, swamps, grasslands, and the slopes of Mount Meru. Highlights include black and white colobus monkeys and flamingos at Momella Lake. A walking safari allows you to experience the park up close. Return to Arusha for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, renowned for its large elephant herds. Enjoy game viewing from an open-roof vehicle through seasonal swamps and savannahs along the Tarangire River. Spot wildlife including zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, giraffe, lions, and elephants. After a full day, relax at Fig Tree Lodge with dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

Travel through the crater highlands, stopping at the Ngorongoro Viewpoint for breathtaking views of the caldera. Continue to the vast plains of the Serengeti, home to over 2 million wildebeest and numerous predators. After a game drive en route, arrive at Seronera Campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Full-Day Game Drive in Central Serengeti

Spend the entire day exploring Central Serengeti National Park. Start at sunrise for a full-day game drive in search of the Big Five. Return to camp for lunch, then continue for an afternoon game drive. The park also hosts over 500 bird species, including ostriches, secretary birds, and black eagles. Conclude with dinner and overnight at the campsite.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro (Simba Campsite)

Start early with a sunrise game drive to experience the wildlife at its most active. Return to camp for brunch/lunch, then continue with a game drive en route to Simba Campsite on the Ngorongoro Crater rim. Enjoy dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Exploration

Depart early for a game drive into the Ngorongoro Crater, home to nearly every species of East African wildlife, including the rare black rhinoceros. The crater spans 260 km², with rivers, swamps, a soda lake, forest, and open plains. After approximately 5 hours of wildlife viewing, transfer to Fig Tree Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Lake Manyara National Park & Return to Arusha

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, known for its flamingos, over 500 bird species, and diverse wildlife including monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, elephants, and lions. After a full-day game drive, return to Arusha, concluding your safari.
