Day 1: Arusha to Ndutu (Southern Serengeti)

Depart Arusha after breakfast and drive toward the Southern Serengeti, passing through the Ngorongoro highlands. Enjoy breathtaking views of rolling plains and Maasai villages as you make your way to the Ndutu region, the seasonal heart of the Great Migration between December and March.

Arrive for an afternoon game drive, spotting:

• Migratory wildebeest herds

• Zebras

• Gazelles

• Lions and cheetahs patrolling the plains

Later, head to your tented camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full Day in Ndutu – Calving Season Game Drives

Today is dedicated to exploring Ndutu during the most action-packed wildlife season. With thousands of newborn calves taking their first steps, predators such as lions, hyenas, cheetahs, and leopards remain highly active.

What to expect:

• Witness wildebeest mothers giving birth

• Predator hunts and dramatic scenes of survival

• Huge herds spread across the open plains

• Excellent photographic opportunities

Enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives before returning to your camp.

Day 3: Ndutu to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive in Ndutu before making your way toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The route offers more wildlife sightings and panoramic landscapes as you drive across the endless savannah.

Arrive at your lodge on the crater rim by evening. Relax and enjoy views of the Ngorongoro Crater as mist blankets the caldera.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive → Return to Arusha

Today, descend 600 meters into the incredible Ngorongoro Crater, a natural wonder and wildlife sanctuary. The crater floor is home to nearly every species of East African wildlife.

Expect to see:

• Lions, hyenas, zebras, and buffaloes

• Elephants and hippos

• The endangered black rhino

• Lush landscapes, acacia forests, and alkaline lakes

Enjoy a picnic lunch at the hippo pool before ascending the crater walls. Later, drive back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport, marking the end of your adventure.
